26 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
Noting that the foundation of 5S Automotive was built on car rental, vehicle sales, and spare parts sales and marketing, Yazıcı said, “This is my 26th year in the automotive industry. We founded 5S Automotive 10 years ago. Over the years, we started focusing more on spare parts and began exporting. One day, we said, ‘Why aren’t we producing the products we sell?’ and set out on this journey. In 2020, we started manufacturing air and cabin filters for automobiles. We are now in our second year, and we are growing much faster than we expected.”
EXPORT BREAKTHROUGH
Stating that he was born and raised in Samsun and is proud to invest in his hometown, Yazıcı said, “We export the products we manufacture in Samsun to 12 European countries. This year, we expect to close our exports at around 2 million euros. We provide employment for 60 people at our production facility, while a total of 150 people work at 5S Automotive. Next year, we aim to increase the number of employees even further. We are also planning to add another production line floor in this building. Our goal for next year is to achieve 5 million euros in exports. This is a separate source of pride for me. Our facility has a monthly production capacity of 50,000 air and cabin filters. Next year, we will increase this capacity to 100,000 units per month. Along with this, our revenues will grow significantly next year. While exports currently account for 30–40% of our total turnover, we hope to increase the export share to 60% next year. This will make a serious contribution to the national economy.”
Yazıcı also stated that there are nearly 2,000 types of air and cabin filters for passenger vehicles, adding, “This year, we focused on increasing the number of our molds. Currently, we are capable of producing 1,300 different types. Next year, we will increase our production capacity to 2,000 varieties.”
